Introduction to the role of the team
Your role
The post holder will ensure the team adhere to fleet maintenance and repair policies and procedures, providing an efficient and cost-effective maintenance system which supports the business objectives and service schedule designated.
That all vehicles are maintained in line with Operator Licence obligations, with key documentation completed, in line with DVSA standards.
You will be supportive and ambitious with excellent organisational skills. You will be a confident communicator with a can-do approach.What you will bring to the role
- Ability to manage, motivate and direct supervised staff to ensure behaviour and performance is to a high standard and work targets are achieved.
- Ability to monitor vehicle maintenance systems for the service, identifying areas for improvement and developing systems accordingly.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements in relations to all statutory and regulatory guidelines for a vehicle maintenance workshop
- Experience of determining and controlling inhouse work, warranty, and subcontract work, to minimise vehicle downtime whilst remaining within financial constraints.
- Experience of supervising staff and dealing with daily operational and staffing related matters including performance and attendance management
- Experience of planning and scheduling workloads, job allocation and staff deployment
- Experience of finding solutions to complex issues whilst balancing the conflicting demands of a customer focused operation.
