About Our Client:


Our client is a prominent housing organization based in the West Midlands deliver high-quality and affordable housing solutions to individuals and families in the area.

This role sits within the Home Maintenance Services team.

  • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of buildings to evaluate their energy efficiency and compliance with EPC standards.
  • Perform detailed Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) to identify potential fire hazards, evaluate safety measures, and recommend necessary improvements.
  • Assess building safety and compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those related to Section 1
  • Conduct comprehensive surveys to identify and evaluate damp and mould issues in buildings, assessing causes, extent, and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to measure energy consumption, moisture levels, and conduct other relevant tests during inspections.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, including assessments, recommendations, and required remedial actions.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to discuss inspection results, propose solutions, and provide guidance on compliance and necessary improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations, codes, and best practices related to EPC, FRA, Building Safety, Damp and Mould surveys, and Section 11 compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on energy efficiency, fire safety, building safety, and damp and mould mitigation techniques.
  • Support and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve building performance, safety, and overall quality.

The Successful Applicant:


  • HNC is Construction Management or equivalent qualification/ experience
  • Able to manage own workload
  • Experience of EPC, FRA, Building Safety, Damp and Mould surveys, and an understanding of Section 11 compliance.
  • Resilient and able to handle difficult situations
  • Represent the company through great customer service
  • Confident in report writing
  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience within social housing is desirable but not essential
