Tom's Guide is looking for a How-to Editor to join the team and oversee the site's expansive tutorials coverage.

You'll work with the UK Managing Editor and UK Editor in Chief to bring a vision for the channel to the team, creating and overseeing a range of content.


What you'll be doing...


As How-To Editor at Tom's Guide, you'll be writing guides and tutorials as well as overseeing, commissioning and managing work from freelance and staff writers.

There's an emphasis in this position on writing and editing guides across all areas the site covers; from phones and computing to AI and entertainment.


In addition to writing and editing content, you'll use social media to amplify this content to a wider audience, employ best practices to find the right readers via search and take ownership of traffic results.

In addition, you'll be tasked with keeping relevant evergreen content updated and accurate at all times.


Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • Indepth knowledge of the most popular consumer tech products and services and a willingness to dig into the nuts and bolts of how they work to explain to our readers.
  • Experience in a section editor role or similar on a website or magazine.
  • A proven ability to work online and an understanding of the needs it brings.
  • A working relationship with public relations professionals in the industry.
  • Good understanding of SEO and analytics.

The expected range for this role is £29,000 - £35,000.

This is a Hybrid role from our Bath office, working three days from the office, two from home.
