Description
You must be an admitted Solicitor or a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. The post would suit someone newly qualified who wishes to specialise in local authority law, housing, licensing, and prosecutions.


You should have knowledge and experience of providing legal advice and assistance in respect of all aspects of contentious local government law.

You will be required to provide high level legal advice to both Officers and Elected Members.


The post holder will be required to undertake and/ or defend both criminal and civil litigations proceedings in the Courts.

The post holder should have proven experience of the detailed examination of evidence leading to the commencement of litigation or other legal action.


The post holder will also be required to provide advice on licensing matters, as well as attend hearings of Licensing and Appeal Sub-Committee.
