We're looking for an Associate Engineer to work on Major Civils projects of a tunnelling nature at all levels to join our team in Croydon, with an exciting and growing project portfolio, there is no better time to join us
- Serves as a lead Engineer on major projects within discipline area
- You will provide specialized technical input to studies and design to complete all stages of design from feasibility to detailed designs.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
- You will run the interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Has good understanding of the rules for detailing reinforced concrete structures
- You will perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
- Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Qualifications:
We recognise a variety of experience and backgrounds may suit this role and that experience levels in specific technical areas may vary.
- You will ideally be educated to degree level in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, and/ or have MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics/Geotechnical/Tunnelling Engineering, coupled with a professional membership.
- You will have broad experience as a designer in Reinforced Concrete to Eurocodes in relation to underground structures such as secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in situ concrete structural elements, D-Walls, shafts and tunnels.
