We have an exciting opportunity in our Basingstoke Dialysis Unit for an ambitious, patient focused Healthcare Assistant looking
for a rewarding career in healthcare with opportunities for professional development.


Newport Dialysis Unit is a dynamic 30 station unit providing haemodialysis treatment for 110 patients in partnership with the NHS Trust. The unit operates safe staffing with a protected 3:1 patient to nurse ratio.

Main duties of the job

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Numerical and literacy skills
  • To be able to demonstrate empathy and sympathy
  • Adaptable
  • Selfmotivated
  • Flexible to cover the needs of the patients/unit
  • To demonstrate a willingness to learn
  • NVQ qualified (Health & Social Care) Desirable
