Role description:


Support the Strategic People Business Partner to deliver the cultural and people component within the Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) by supporting the development and implementation of people programs aligned with GBA and country strategic objectives.

The role will partner with business managers on strategic priorities and provide front line advisory on people initiatives and programs to deliver strategic people or business solutions.

Our Enabling Functions span HR, Legal, IT and beyond.

Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today's mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world's growing population.

We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.


This is an 18 month fixed term opportunity. We work in an agile manner, with the option to work from home or the office as business and personal requirements dictate, as such this role can be based a reasonable commutable distance from any of our UK offices.


Role accountabilities:


The People Business Partner will establish trusted and influential relationships with management teams to deliver strategic people priorities and provide front line advisory on people initiatives and programs with a strategic people or business impact.


You will collaborate with other business partners and people services teams to support the delivery of the total employee experience within a geographic area.

The role will support the GBA People Director and Strategic Business Partner to build an inclusive high performing organization, in line with the strategic people and culture direction.


Support the delivery of high-level change programmes, which align to business objectives and strategic direction of the business area will be a key focus of the role.


Support SBP to deliver all annual People processes and programs such as annual review, talent reviews, salary appraisal within the GBA in collaboration with People services and COE leads.

Bring proactive business insights to the People team, and people insight to the business to drive innovations and make data driven people decisions in partnership with People Analytics team.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Ideally possess an academic degree or equivalent, and demonstrable experience in business partnering roles. Broad experience and understand the complexity of driving change across large scale transformational projects.
  • An experienced, pragmatic, HR practitioner who can work with all levels of seniority, and use their experience to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Having a broad knowledge of all major components of People related functions, employee relations, management of change, diversity and Inclusion, compensation, benefits and Talent development
  • High level communication skills; strong consulting, coaching and presentations skills, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding and coaching others
  • A progressive, nonbureaucratic approach with experience in the latest P&C trends but in practical terms not just a theory
  • Experience in working in a matrixed organisation preferably in an international setting. Aswell as experience in a similar role where you need to balance global/local needs
  • Broad experience and understand the complexity of executing people strategy
