We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to oversee day to day maintenance activities at our Menstrie Yeast production facility.

This site has a rich heritage, dating back 275 years when a distillery was first established on the site.

Today it produces thousands of tonnes of yeast products each year for well known brands across the global food and drinks industry.

This is a permanent Full time position, with a continental type shift pattern involving day, evening and night shifts.

What will I be doing?

  • Leading on health & safety by ensuring all engineering and maintenance activities on site meet the appropriate health and safety standards.
  • Making sure Kerry policies and standards are implemented and adhered to while ensuring regional, national and local legislative requirements are met by the site engineering function including external services/contractors.
  • Monitor maintenance performance against defined KPI's, taking immediate corrective action and developing systemic preventative actions to address variances.
  • Communicating key messages on performance or issues which could affect plant or production performance.
  • Collaborating with other functions to deliver a best practice' engineering approach is supporting all quality, KMS and FSSC actions through effective leadership of engineering owned areas.
  • Supporting or leading the daily and weekly Engineering meetings where priorities and planned maintenance activities are reviewed and issues escalated.
  • Motivating your team through effective leadership, coaching, people management and development.
  • Promoting Continuous Improvement (CI) in all engineering and maintenance works and encourages the use of CI tools across their teams.
  • Appling your experience, technical and problemsolving skills to correct equipment problems causing excessive production downtime and maintenance work.
  • Support and execute the site KAMS excellence journey.
  • Overseeing and managing all contractors under Engineering control through managing work standards and adherence to QSHE standards.

What do I need to bring?

  • Positive mindset, cando attitude, flexible and open to change
  • Experience within a similar position with line management responsibility, f OOD industry knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability
  • Proven track record building solid working relationships
  • Knowledgeable in Maintenance best practice and CMMS systems (SAP PM)
  • Strong MS Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good technical analysis ability and proficient in writing reports
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Evidence of excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
