Are you methodical, supportive and accurate with a keen eye for detail and familiar with further education compliance, with a passionate about delivering a quality service?


At Babington we pride ourselves on delivering robust training programmes nationally and we are looking for a Compliance Officer to join out Compliance and Administration to monitor, report, rectify issues with funding compliance and provide an exceptional customer experience for all of our stakeholders.

Summary of role


This post holder will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and rectifying issues with funding compliance within the apprenticeships or employability division, taking a lead in the development and improvement of compliance activity across designated areas, making a positive contribution to the maintenance of Babington's overall <5% error rate to reduce risk of financial claw back.


Brief summary of principle accountabilities

  • Responsible for compliance, checking internal paperwork against all areas of the learner journey.
  • Responsible for returning all noncompliant paperwork/evidence to original source, clearly communicating corrective action required.
  • Processing of start, change and exit ILR data with 100% accuracy.
  • Supporting with audit corrective and preventative actions, obtaining evidence where necessary.
  • Responsible for accuracy of ILR data input, liaising with internal staff and external bodies for clarification where required e.g., sales/delivery managers, data service, other providers, Pellcomp etc.
  • Support with the interpretation, implementation, and communication of ESFA/EFA funding guidance across the business.
  • Provide internal training to staff members of internal and external processes and paperwork via face to face or virtual training.
  • Support with the ESFA /ESF/partner external audits.
  • Ensuring all copies of documentation is uploaded and securely saved to the relevant electronic system.
  • Support with archiving of both electronic and hard copy documentation ensuring adherence to funding and awarding body requirements.
  • To maintain and develop positive relationship with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent

  • Level 2 Business and Administration Qualification

Skills and experience

  • Experience of working within an administration and compliance environment

  • Experience in data input, using online systems
    (E):
  • Experience of working in the further education sector
    (D):
  • Experience and knowledge of further education programmes

  • Experience of problem solving and thinking around problems to find new solutions

  • Experience of organisng and prioritising workload to achieve set deadlines

  • Experience of objective listening and possessing the ability to influence others
