Our Work & Rewards GFS practice includes over35 professionals and partners with all facets of our Work & Reward business in order to promote and manage our initiatives focused on the financial services industry.


The Role

As an Associate Director in GFS, you will collaborate and work alongside Willis Towers Watson's market and thought leaders to grow our financial services market share with a focus on Capital Markets businesses as well with firms in the FTSE 100 and 250 indicesalso with privately-held companies.

You will work directly with managers and executive leadership of large firms to evaluate and develop compensation and reward strategies that facilitate achievement of business and human capital strategies.

You will continueto build your technical knowledge and skills and manage consulting projects while providing input to senior colleagues and overseeing and quality-reviewing analysts' work.

In addition, you will partner with internal colleagues - including analysts, other consultants and technical experts.

Working with other colleagues, you will also participate in and contribute to activities that support continued revenue growth of the Work & Rewards line of business and Willis Towers Watson overall.

As an Associate Director, such participation may includeparticipation in local, regional and/or national marketing events, performing industry/topical research and developing intellectual capital, participating in our firm's industry and/or topical teams, etc.

You will be working with the largest global banks on a wide range of Reward projects. You will work with companies to understand their compensation strategy.

Your day to day tasks will include:

  • Deliver superior, consistent project management for multiple, marquee financial services clients
  • Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams
  • Serve as the daytoday project lead, ensuring progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
  • Serve as a contact to clients on delivery of services
  • Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Senior Consultants
  • Develop effective compensation structures, competitive base pay and incentive approaches that provide seamless delivery of global solutions for our clients
  • Collaborate and contribute to the development, design and implementation of compensation programs that include total rewards strategy, competitive benchmarking, annual and longterm incentive plan design, overall competitive pay analysis and payforperformancealignment
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches.
  • Continue to develop technical knowledge and skills in a range of compensation disciplines.

  • Remuneration Committee support
  • Other Executive Compensation and Reward projects

You are required to have good problem solving and analytical skills and an interest in the financial services sector, as well as interacting with clients.


The Requirements:


  • Proven compensation experience (preferably some consulting experience) and a genuine interest in this field
  • Experience designing annual, equity, stock and other long
- and short-term incentive programs for financial services firms

  • Creative, analytical and resultsdriven orientation, demonstrated through the ability to draw conclusions, themes, and trends from data analysis and communicate results effectively
  • Conceptual; ability to go beyond the details and see the big picture
  • A curious problem solver; able to identify and solve challenging problems
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple, multifaceted projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Organized; able to work and think in a methodical and orderly way in a timepressured, fastpaced environment
  • Strong computer skills including proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Committed to quality; continuously works to achieve the highest quality standards
  • An executive presence with polished and welldeveloped communication skills
  • Experience making presentations to management.
