Overview / Responsibilities:


Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Controller to join the Operated Asset Service Line as part of the growth in deployment of our transformational product throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

We are looking for a talented, ambitious and courageous project controller to join our developing team.


The Project Controller will provide cost, estimating, planning, scheduling and risk assessment support to the project teams and clients working across a portfolio of small projects without dedicated project control discipline teams.

The individual will run the selected required project controls systems and tools to enable the successful management and reporting of the project costs, schedule and risk on projects and specific assignments.

The role will act as the focal point for matters relating to project costs, schedules, and risk.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Generate and reporting of planned v's actual progress figures
  • Lead the collection of weekly progress figures from the project team
  • Reporting against the project critical path
  • Generate and reporting of project costs and schedule data
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly project cost and planning status reports
  • Review and be familiar with the Work Breakdown Structure for specific scopes of work
  • Study and understand all relevant documents pertaining to the preparation of plans and schedules
  • Monitor cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of the project / assignment
  • Liaise with Project Accounting and timecapture functions and third parties as required to ensure
accurate and timely capture of costs and ensure costs are allocated accurately in accordance with
approved project/assignment WBS

  • Work closely and assist Project Accountants and Billing Specialists in the Billing process and any
other cost related queries

  • Supports installation of quantities tracking in accordance with standard methods of measurement,
including rules of credit (weighted value)

  • Assist with the preparation of cost and manhour analysis for benchmarking and productivity
assessment

  • Maintenance of project S-Curves and Histograms. Understanding of project Rules of Credit and
how to measure Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index.

  • Perform progress updates of the project Gantt charts, including executed changes into project
schedule.

  • Support monitoring of resource needs for the project and programme through analysis of workload
at project level

  • Identify slippages, significant float erosion and raise to more senior team members
  • Input into the change management system
  • Follow change management process

  • Attendance at client progress meetings
  • Assist with the preparation of proposal schedules and CTR packs
  • Participate in cost and schedule risk analysis workshops / sessions
  • Be familiar with and comply with Project Controls processes and procedures

Skills / Qualifications:

Qualifications:


  • Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
(or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience)


Knowledge, skills, and experience:


  • Relevant industry experience, not necessarily in all elements of Project Control, but Cost is essential
  • Good understanding of project management principles and techniques
  • Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
  • Good skills in Microsoft Word and very good skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Agile working methodologies advantageous
