The Role


The Head of Transformation is a new role which has been created to scope and drive a transformation project within the IS organisation supporting the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives.


The Head of Transformation will report into the Chief Digital Officer of RM's IS Organisation and be part of the Group IS Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

The Head of Transformation is a strategic leadership role responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts to ensure requirements are specified and agreed by wider delivery teams for both existing and new projects.

You will also play a key role in supporting the overall effectiveness of the team by implementing a routine transformational business cadence while maximizing engagement and awareness throughout the team.


The Head of Transformation requires an experienced leader with a focus on execution and understanding of the broader IS agenda and an ability to work effectively with stakeholders of all levels to drive engagement and provide clarity around the activity that will deliver on the business agenda and support the transformational objectives of the RM business.


In order to be effective in this role, you will collaborate closely across the RM Group, including IS Group leadership, broader functional leadership and others to build a culture of growth and efficiency through effective collaboration.

The IS Organisation
This role will report directly into the Chief Digital Officer and work closely with the Group IS SLT.

Peers will include the Head of Architecture, Head of Project Delivery, Head of Service Delivery and the Cyber Security Technical Lead.


Responsibilities:


Strategy and Implementation

  • Support the Chief Digital Officer in scoping and developing the projects and activities required to execute the Group IS strategy
  • Manage and enhance the planning and execution of transformational change working closely with the IS SLT following established processes, documents and tools.

Transformation and Process Improvement

  • Provide operational and specialist insight in order to drive continuous improvement via automation.
  • Have extensive process reengineering and automation experience with the use of various automation tools (UiPath & Celonis preferable)
  • Lead integration of change management activity across the IS team, ensuring change management and engagement requirements of all activities are considered within projects and managed as part of project governance.
  • Add value by identifying the need to modify policies, programs and services and develop costeffective proposals to the CDO. Support the CDO in preparing bestinclass executive presentations and communications for internal and external audiences
- including storyboarding, communicating requirements, gathering inputs and organising it in a compelling way.

  • Support the CDO in delivering communication and change engagement activity for internal audiences, including the All Hands group, articulating the change journey and progress of activities
  • Review relevant inquiries directed to the CDO as delegated, to determine the proper course of action and where relevant delegate to the appropriate member of staff to handle, recording all, tracking and reporting on resolution.

Issue and Risk Management

  • Partner with functional leadership and management, reviewing weekly and monthly reports to identify, evaluate and resolve priority strategic issues as they arise; bringing these to the MD and SLT's attention and institutionalizing agreed changes to procedures and processes where necessary.

Measurement

  • Define key performance indicators for success and measure projects against goals

Resourcing

  • Support staffing discussions, providing inputs into role and resource requirements, involved in decision making process. Ensure actions are captured and completed.
