Job Purpose
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a number of highly experienced Security Officers and Guest Ambassadors to join our existing team in Edinburgh City Centre

A warm welcome from our front-of-house team will determine the first impressions of our visitors.


The Guest Ambassador role is to provide the highest level of customer care, while providing a 5-Star front of house service and maintaining a subtle, yet visible security presence.


The Security Officer duties on this site are varied and will include elements of reception duties, access control and signing contractors in and out of the site.


This opportunity is within an Edinburgh city centre location working Monday to Friday, week 1 07:00 - 19:00, week 2 07:30 - 19:30.

Current Pay Rate is £9.95ph.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a 5star guest experience at all times
  • Provide a professional first impression and deliver beyond client/visitor expectations
  • Provide and maintain a consistently superior level of customer service at all times
  • Sensitive customer interaction while maintaining a cohesive acknowledgement of all guests
  • Be seen as a visible customerfocused professional by being proactive and greeting clients and visitors where possible
  • Anticipate and action client requirements in a professional manner
  • Provide a consistently professional service at all times
  • Issue visitor passes using the agreed sign in and out policies and procedures
  • Communicate where required visitor or client arrivals with a high level of discretion
  • Handle all incoming telephone calls and inquiries in an efficient and sincere manner
  • Handle mail and courier inquiries with discretion and sensitivity
  • Provide administrative support
  • Ensure all fire exits are kept clear. Health & Safety issues are reported
  • Ability and foresight to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors
  • Maintain a highsecurity awareness at all times
  • CCTV interaction where required

Person Specification

  • Holds a true passion for high standards of customer service delivery
  • Ability to provide a 5star guest experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Immaculate presentation
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Look for opportunities to enhance client/visitor experience
  • Clear, concise, and confident communication skills which are customer service orientated with a very keen eye for detail
  • Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
  • Have an acute sense of security awareness
  • Valid SIA license essential
  • 5 years of continuous work employment history without gaps and verifiable work history
  • First Aid training would be an advantage
