Theatre Scrub Lead


Our private client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Theatre Scrub Lead to join their friendly and dynamic team, where your contribution is valued and you can help us provide the best personalised healthcare to our patients.

The position is focussed on the scrub side, experience in a variety of specialties is desired.


It includes ensuring the correct equipment and consumables are available, supporting other staff and liaising with consultants regarding specialist products.


Theatre Scrub Lead

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and development by ensuring the use of evidence based practise and clinical standards.
  • Provide a safe working environment for patients and team members
  • Ensure that pathways are delivered to the standard and quality expected of the hospital.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement which focuses on the provision of high quality safe and effective care.
  • Maintain CQC standards
  • Satisfactory audit and clinical practice and documentation
  • Completion of own and team members competencies assessment
  • Fulfill appraisal and performance review objectives
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered/maintained and used efficiently by liaising with the supplies team
  • Deputise in absence of theatre lead
  • Complete all mandatory training on time
  • To accept personal accountability of identifying own learning needs and professional development. To participate in continuing education to seek new knowledge/skills.
  • Provide informal staff progress
  • To complete the work rota for recovery and anaesthetic staff.

Theatre Scrub Lead should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered with the NMC/HCPC
  • High standards of clinical competence
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability of leading a team to work effectively and independently
  • Demonstrated customer service & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • MS Office suits, HRIS, audit tools
  • Sentinel and other portals.
  • Ability to plan equipment and consumable requirement

Desirable

  • Experience in orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligaments reconstruction would be an advantage but not essential
  • Private Healthcare experience

Salary:
Up to £45,000.00 per year
