Description
FIFE, TAYSIDE & FORTH VALLEY (FTF) INTERNAL AUDIT
PRINCIPAL AUDITOR (2 POSTS)

LOCATION: 1 POST - NHS FIFE & 1 POST - NHS FORTH VALLEY

Are you a professionally qualified auditor who wants to make a difference? Do you want to work within a stimulating and forward-looking NHS internal audit service?

FTF, the largest Internal Audit Consortium in NHS Scotland, is recruiting two permanent Principal Auditors, one based primarily within NHS Fife and one based primarily within NHS Forth Valley.

You will also be required to contribute to the internal audit plans of our three Health Board and six Integrated Joint Board clients as required.

While we offer a flexible, hybrid working model, the ability to efficiently and reliably travel across Fife or Forth Valley to meet service needs is essential to this role.

Your work will be undertaken in line with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and you will be expected to lead on and carry out assignments both in person and remotely.

You will use your communication and analytical skills, working at all levels of the client organisations to improve governance, assurance and controls.

You will have the ability to draft reports which are clear and concise, focusing on the main priorities and risks.

You will manage your own workload to prioritise and meet deadlines, with supervision and guidance where required. You will support, supervise and review the work of other team members throughout the audit process.

You will contribute at every stage of the audit process, gaining understanding of the corporate objectives and risks of our clients, managing the preparation and delivery of audit assignments, developing audit programmes, preparing / reviewing audit reports, from draft to final stage and agreeing recommendations with clients.

You will also be responsive to client needs, helping them to improve governance and adding value to the organisation by helping them respond to challenges.
