We melt, coat, join, cast and engineer metals for enhancing the wear life and operating performance of engineered components within all engineering sectors.

Wall Colmonoy Ltd are currently recruiting for a Wax Room Production Operative.


This is a key role in the organisation to ensure that procedures and manufacturing process are followed correctly in all aspects of the Casting area.

It is the operator's role to understand processes and procedures, to ensure high quality castings, whilst adhering to designated Health, Safety and Environmental practices.


In addition, the operator will be taken through dept training to ensure flexibility through out the department to maintain employee growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Follow the work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure that the process/processes are carried out correctly within the department.
  • Highlight to the production supervisor any maintenance requirements or process limitations within your work area.
  • Previous manufacturing background would be an advantage.
  • Follow equipment TPM operations and checks.
  • Adhere to designated health and safety requirements for your work areas and department including safe systems of work. Adhere to WCL safety policy.
  • Complete all process paperwork correctly with manufacturing data for Quality Control purposes and KPI data gathering.
  • Meet daily production plan melting targets to ensure manufacturing program is being met and Key Performance Indicators are on target.
  • Support departmental continuous improvement tasks & projects while highlighting improvement opportunities. Attend daily production meetings.
  • Ensure good standards of housekeeping and storage are maintained within the work area during your shift.
  • Ensure all environmental aspects and waste segregation are followed daily.

  • Ability to problem solve and propose improvement ideas.
  • Good Health and Safety principles.
The role requires an individual who is prepared to take ownership and be accountable for the manufacturing process. A flexible can-do attitude is essential in this demanding role. External and internal training will be available to support successful applicant.

Shift Pattern:
Mornings, Afternoons and Nights currently; however, expectation is to be flexible and be willing to work overtime.

Contract length: 6 months

£11.55 per hour
