A school in Preston heartily welcomes an optimistic, confident and adaptable Site Supervisor who can join them as soon as possible who can manage the physical environment of a school effectively and ensure the safety, functionality, and overall well-being of students and staff.

We expect you to:

  • Provide clear direction, delegate tasks, and inspire others to work towards common goals.
  • To ensure that the school and grounds are in a good state of repairs and appearance
  • To ensure the security, health and safety and cleanliness of the school is maintained
  • Remove waste that requires safe handling procedures Waste separation to comply with reuse and recycling processes Removing waste classified as unsanitary, hazardous and/or dangerous.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school; appreciate and support the role of other professionals; participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
  • To deal with repairs and maintenance that may arise as a result of accidents, emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances and liaise with School Business Manager / Senior Leaders and other asset management within the borough etc.
  • Building positive relationships with staff, students, and other stakeholders is important for creating a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Preferred skills:

  • Integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures, and act in the best interests of the school and its community.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust plans and strategies as needed to meet evolving needs and challenges.

Personal Attributes:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
