The finance team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to advertise a vacancy for a finance apprentice. The vacancy has arisen due to the promotion of the current post holder.The post holder will:
Provide accounting support within the Finance Department, particularly in the areas of accounts payable, payroll and monthly financial reporting
Assist in providing efficient and high quality financial support to service managers and the wider organisation.
Provide excellent customer service to colleagues as well as to clients and suppliers external to the Trust
We are the main provider of NHS community services across East and West Sussex.

Accounts payable
To liaise with suppliers and budget holders to help resolve queries and to facilitate prompt payments of invoices so that supplier payments can be made within agreed contract terms.
To support the smooth operation of the payroll service by assisting the Payroll Gatekeeper in resolving pay related queries and issues and in managing the relationship with te payroll provider
Financial reporting
To participate in preparation of monthly, quarterly and the year-end reports, both financial accounts and reports to budget holders
