Gardens Supervisor

Full-time working 40 hours per week Monday -Friday. Some term time weekend working may be required on a rota basis.

The salary for this role is between £24,517 and £27,235 per annum dependent upon experience and qualifications. This is based on a CLC Scalepoint range of 36-43.


As a member of the support staff you will be part of a large and friendly community of professionals who support our pupils' education and experience.

You'll be joining a significant team that underpins the success of College.


The Gardens Supervisor will work within the College Grounds and Gardens department which forms part of the wider Property Services team.

Cheltenham Ladies' College has a large estate, over 36 acres, comprising of 15 Boarding Houses that each have their own gardens, two sports fields including tennis courts, two astro pitches and a cricket square along with the main college site and the Performing Arts Centre.


Within all of these gardens you will find:
topiary, ponds, rose gardens, herbaceous borders etc.

This hands-on Supervisor role supports the Head of Grounds and Gardens by primarily leading and managing a small team of Grounds & Gardens Assistants to ensure the gardens are maintained to a very high standard.

The role will also include a range of practical horticultural tasks to develop, improve, conserve the gardens and support the delivery of projects.

The Supervisor will deputise for the Head of Grounds and Gardens in their absence.
