Directorate PASurgical Management
We are looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced personal assistant to provide full PA support to the Surgical Management team.
Working in a challenging and constantly changing environment, you will need to have excellent administrative, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also need to possess the ability to multi task at a high level, pay close attention to detail and work on your own initiative.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the skills required to manage the workload in a proactive and effective manner.
To provide a PA service to the Surgical Management triumvirate and to provide an administrative service to the Clinical Service Managers, Service Managers and MatronsYour duties will include a full range of administrative tasks, including:
Managing electronic diaries
Dealing with enquiries from staff the public and patients
Typing correspondence from formal meeting and reports
Organising invites, booking venues, times and coordinating/collating papers for meetings
Taking minutes both formal and informal
Maintaining both a paper and electronic filing system
Operating an effective bring forward and tracking system and monitoring actions
Providing reports
Word processing skills are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft packages, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

To organise own workload and work closely with the Senior Directorate PA to deliver a high standard of PA / administrative support.
To be responsible for leading an administrative service providing positive leadership of the administrative team, ensuring that high standards are maintained in terms of quality and output.
To use own initiative and work without immediate supervision.
