Production Line Supervisor
We currently have vacancies on various shifts

  • Day Shift, Weekly Rotating 6am2pm & 2pm 10pm Monday-Friday and Fixed Night Shift 10pm 6am Sunday
  • Thursday.


As a Production Line Supervisor you will be supporting the production team on the site & shift you are based in.

Ensuring safety, driving performance, coordinating and optimisation of all resources in the lines you support.


You will be the go-to person on the line for support, using your coordination skills you will ensure operational activities are completed and the highest standards of safety, product quality and service levels are delivered to enable the whole team to deliver products to our customers on time in full.

This role is based on production lines.


Major Roles and Responsibilities:


Competently undertake all the responsibilities and activities of a Multi skilled operator, plus:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety by working in a safe manner, role modelling safe behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions, and escalating to other team members when support is needed.
  • Drive the performance of the line & people on it. Ensuring all are continually optimised, to ensure output of the line meets or exceeds set standards in; OEE, Plan attainment, speed, and quality.
  • Set the lines in advance of production at the beginning of the weeks runs.
  • Responsible for all Line Start Up Activities, including but not limited to Pre
- start up safety check routine, QA sheet preparation

  • Collection of samples for external laboratory testing. (Put to one side for QA's.)
  • Responsible for verification and testing of metal detection and weighing equipment.
  • To be able to create and update all programs on ICE printers, Octopus, etc.
  • Monitoring of process controls to ensure legal and customer compliance.
  • Completion of daily checks to include positive air flow, paperwork at start of production, reprint and WIP labels, setting up online printers, label testing, etc.
  • Understands, leads and maintains good manufacturing practices and company standards of hygiene, PPE, and dress code. Role models a 'Clean as You Go' approach, leading workplace organisation and visual management standards with the team.
  • Be responsible for the progression and completion of training plans and records for team members of relevant lines / roles within the stated time frames.
  • Assess the competence of operators as directed by the Production Management Team.
  • Organise all members of your team in order to achieve maximum effectiveness of the labour supplied for the lines.
  • Ensure all machinery within the area of your control is operated to achieve maximum effectiveness.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all checks and recording of information relating to the process, product and personnel.
  • Undertake training to enable setup, adjustment, and daily maintenance operations of all designated pieces of equipment for your area to meet the required performance criteria.
  • Work with your Manager to achieve preset KPIs for their line / area.
  • Work with your Manager to lead and progress Continuous Improvement initiatives to meet deadlines set for their line / area.
  • Undertake the training required to acquire all of the skills and qualifications specified within the Line Leader role.
  • Ensure quality standards on your lines are always achieved and ensure appropriate action is taken when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all product specifications and work instructions at all times.
  • Part of the production team with an extensive knowledge of all production equipment to be able to operate all production equipment to a competent standard.
  • Ensure that all relevant quality paperwork is full completed and signed off before being submitted to the QA Department for archiving.
  • Step up for Production Manager in their absence
