Vacancy Summary:
_**This vacancy is for a female personal care assistant in the Woodingdean area. Full or part time hours are available.

About me:

_**I am a young woman with learning disabilities and complex health needs who is looking for personal assistants who can assist me to live independently at home with my parents.

I enjoy going out into the community and taking part in activities.

**_

What support I need:

_**You will be required to undertake duties such as assisting with personal care, meds admin, moving & handling with a hoist, challenging behaviours, epilepsy, first aid and light housework.

You will also be required to support me with my communication programme (PODD), for which training will be given.

About you and our requirements:

We are looking for a personal assistant who is fun and energetic but can remain calm in difficult situations and who also has experience supporting clients with learning disabilities.

As you will be supporting our client in the community, it is essential that you are a driver and have a full, clean driving licence.

This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part - there is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit

female support workers only.

An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense met by HomeCareDirect)

£14.33 per hour
