Cyber Security Consultant

Cyber Security Job Description:

You will be required to consultant and implement clients Managed Security Services into their customer base. Having a consultative approach and guiding Security postures. You will deliver multiple projects across Hybrid Cloud environments, providing expertise and guidance on SOC activities. Taking the design and documentation, approving it and implementing it.


Key Skills:

• Hold CISSP or have demonstrable equivalent realworld experience.
• Worked on a Managed Security Service previously.
• Previous experience of working as a Cyber Security Consultant across multiple customers.
• Microsoft stack, vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Nessus and Rapid 7), EDR platforms, SIEMs.
• Previous experience of delivering security projects, including implementation and post

- implementation support, providing guidance and support to customers throughout.

• Experience of overseeing and leading remediation of security assessments, technical testing, and vulnerability analysis including Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, and NIST CSF.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver the technical and advisory aspects of Managed Security Service across the customer base.
• Join security incident response calls to provide advice and guidance.
• Run Cyber Essentials and NIST framework assessments of customer environments
• Work and coordinate with other teams to implement security improvements
• Develop and maintain a security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement secure solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology, and threat drivers.
• Define and deliver security architecture governance, ensuring that all IT projects and key initiatives are in alignment with our core security principles and the overall IT strategy.
• Provide expertise in security systems and architectures, cybersecurity trends, and emerging threats.
• Lead the development of security architecture and principles. Input into the development and updates of Technology Risk led standards.
• Work with the Technology Risk team to evaluate and mitigate risks, ensuring that IT frameworks and methodologies incorporate best practices in information security.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values:

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or similar role in a financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of security by design principles and IT risk management.
• Knowledge of current IT security technologies and infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to a broad range of technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Salary :
£41,500 Per Year
