Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed start-up seeking to revolutionise the cellular bioproduction sector by building, testing & developing cutting edge machines.

The aim of the business is to create scalable, fully automated systems by re-designingthe process of mammalian cell culture in a bioproduction/ manufacturing environment.

Doing this will allow novel products in the cultivated meat & next gen therapeutics sector to enter mass market efficiently and economically.


We are currently recruiting for a senior position which will require the successful applicant to lead a small engineering team.

Although line management will play an important part of this position, this role requires a desire to design, test and build novelbioproduction systems.

Due to the start-up nature of the organisation, you should expect a dynamic environment with changing project objectives.

This business is for you if

  • You have demonstrable experience developing cell culture production systems from understanding user requirements & concept through to manufacture
  • You are comfortable utilising online platforms such as CAD (SolidWorks preferable) and performing hand calculations to determine engineering problems
  • You have a commercial mindset and relish solving difficult technical challenges. A hunger to engage in prototyping using 3D printing, thermoforming, CNC/machining is a must


You will join a close knit and collaborative team of R&D scientists who value quality but are not afraid to get "stuck in" and solve hands on technical issues.
