Description

Farrer Barnes is working exclusively with a growing and successful business based in Dartford.
They are looking for a Management Accountant to help them catch up during a busy period.
This is a 6 month contract paying up to £40k.
Own transport is preferred - the offices are about 20 mins walk from the nearest station.

Duties of the role are as follows:

Preparation of periodic management accounts on a timely basis in accordance with scheduled timetable
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts at each period end
Analytical review of profit and loss statement, investigate any significant variances and provide commentary where necessary
Calculating and entering journals onto system to bring gross margin costing in line with expectations
Updating fixed asset registers, calculating prepayments and accruals, bank and cash reconciliations and processing of journals
Responsible for both yearend budget and midyear reforecast processes as well as an ongoing review throughout the year
Support the year end process and Audit, responding to any audit queries where required
Liaising with offsite teams to discuss the accounts as well as gaining a good understanding of recent activities to ensure they are reflected in the accounts
Reviewing of own work before submitting to manager to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliations are achieved
Monthly analysis of credit card statements and processing onto system
Provide adhoc support to the finance team as required

Part qualification at a minimum is required for this role.

We are looking for someone immediately available or with 1 week notice period as the client is looking to move ASAP on this role.

This is an entirely office based role to start. Some concession for WFH may be made after a few months.
