Cakehead are an established and quickly growing bakery with a fantastic culture,work environment and ambitious future.

Now, you may not have heard of them, but I reckon you've heard of their clients as they provide traybakes to some of the most well known names in the UK's food service industry.

This position is right in the mix of it (Baking pun intended), as the Head of Finance you'll be reporting into the Managing Director, sit on the leadership team, be heavily involved in strategic decisions, as well as having complete oversight of the operationand commercial finance processes.

If you thoroughly enjoy adding value, enjoy improving things and driving business forward then this could be a fantastic opportunity, one which could offer M&A activity too

Typical Responsibilities:

Management of small Finance Team
Financial input into business strategy
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting
Preparation of annual accounts
Banking / insurance relationships
Management of all taxes
Liaison with external auditors
Oversees monthly payroll
Oversees business cost control
Any other tasks that may reasonably be required by the business

I'm looking for a confident finance leader, someone who can hold their own in management meetings,roll up their sleeves and get involved and someone who can add real value.

If you:

Have a proven background in FMCG, Manufacturing or Logistics, a fastpaced industry
Have held a similar role, either a number one or two position in this environment
Have strong experience with cash flow
Have experience managing a small team
Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ideally hold a finance qualification
