SUMMER STUDENT PLACEMENT - PHYSIOTHERAPY

Band 2 £23,362 - £25,368 per annum

Plus £1,279 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

37 hrs per week

The Physiotherapy Department is based in the Western Isles Hospital and provides a service across the whole of the Western Isles.

The NHS Western Isles Physiotherapy service exists to deliver high quality care to patients and their carers.

The key responsibilities of the service are to provide triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient types in a variety of environments.

There is also a key role in health promotion.

All staff within the Physiotherapy Service must comply with NHS Western Isles and Departmental policies in addition to complying with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Professional Standards and Rules of Professional Conduct.

We are looking to recruit a summer student to assist with some project work and administrative functions

This will include:

Data gathering and report writing to assist us with service planning and delivery, e.g. record keeping audit
Assisting with filing
Assisting physiotherapists with the review of documents
Stock ordering
Photocopying, scanning, printing and posting out letters
Answering telephone, passing on messages
Assisting physiotherapy staff with patients both in hospital and in the community
