Description
The Operations Administrator role provides comprehensive and proactive operational support across the Institute.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • First point of contact and offer an excellent customer care service to all staff, postgraduate students and visitors, including onsite operational support as and when required. Effectively signposting stakeholders to other business areas as required.
  • Support stakeholders/colleagues by proactively finding solutions for problems presented and work independently to find resolution, recognising when escalation is required.
  • Work to deadlines when necessary, in order to ensure activity is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Provide support and guidance, in a supervisory capacity, to other members of the operational team on operational process.
  • Assist operational colleagues with the delivery of key processes, across all operational areas.
  • Maintain and update Institute websites, intranets and social media platforms, including the timely updates of news items.
  • Liaise with other parts of the University and Faculties
Flexible, blended working arrangements will be considered.


Essential skills, knowledge and experience:


  • Good standard of education, with a C or above in GCSE Maths and English Language or equivalent.
  • Excellent IT skills with an ability to use Microsoft Office packages such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to display a high level of sensitivity, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to deliver exemplary customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) demonstrating an ability to deal with a diverse range of individuals both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise multiple conflicting priorities in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to solve problems with mínimal supervision.
  • A team player with the ability to support colleagues.
  • Be adaptable and willing to undergo training where needs are identified.
