An exciting opportunity has arisen at
GSL Education for a dedicated
Teaching Assistant with
SEN experience to join our team in
Newark On Trent.
full-time, permanent position with an
immediate start date,
£16,000 - £18,000 per year.
Responsibilities:

Supporting Students: Provide individual and small-group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.

Implementing Support Strategies: Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies, tailored to the needs of SEN students.

Collaborating with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and support the learning needs of all students.

Promoting Inclusivity: Foster an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported in their academic and personal development.

Monitoring Progress: Monitor and record the progress of SEN students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
Requirements:

SEN Experience: Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is essential for this role.

Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

Team Player: A collaborative approach to working within a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to the overall success of the school.

Safeguarding Knowledge: A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Enhanced DBS Check: The successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
