Health & Safety Manager - SPEN

Role and Requirements:


Glenelly Infrastructure solutions has an exciting opportunity for a experienced and talented Health and Safety Manger - SPEN Framework to join our Power & Civils Distribution business based in Scotland.


Glenelly Infrastructure Solutions has been awarded the framework for the with maintenance and modernisation of existing underground LV network and new services for SPEN.

While this particular framework will run approximately 5 years, we expect to be awardedmore of these frameworks in the near

The Health & Safety Manager role will contribute to the smooth delivery of the framework by ensuring that Health and Safety policies and procedures are promoted and adhered to on all projects and site activities across the framework.

You will be a seasonedand qualified Health and Safety professional with extensive knowledge and experience, ideally in the Utilities, Power, Civil Engineering or Construction industries.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Advising / assisting Site Management in drafting and communicating Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring they are completed in a timely manner
  • Carry out safety audits and inspections, reviewing health and safety issues, addressing and implementing change as required
  • Responsible for advising on overall compliance in matters of Health & Safety on site in accordance with Company policy, ISO standards and relevant statutory provisions
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, producing detailed factual reports identifying root causes and recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain core areas of expertise and impart knowledge to aid the development, training and mentoring of others as well as delivering Health & Safety induction programmes for new employees or contractors working on site; as well as refresher training andadvising the management team in respect to H&S
Required Skills and Experience

  • As a Health and Safety Manager you will have deep technical knowledge of health and safety legislation and keep up to date with legislative changes, ideally you will be NEBOSH certified, a Member of IOSH and hold a Relevant CSCS Card.
