Description

The School cleaner will work as part of a team to perform a variety of regular and one-off cleaning tasks and duties as directed by their supervisor/line manager.

NLGPS School is a very successful well-presented, well maintained Prep and Secondary School.

The School cleaner will play a crucial role in efficient running of the school by providing outstanding facilities management support service to the Headteacher, Leadership Team and other Staff members at all times.

The duties and responsibilities of the School cleaner include, but are not limited to:

Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of your designated area and for maintaining high and consistent standards
Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards.
Liaise with Facilities Manager and other members of staff as required to ensure the cleaning rota operates smoothly around both school events and outside lets.
Report cleaning supplies requirements and stock levels to the line manager.
Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedure compliance
Work as part of a team and support other members of the cleaning team to meet standards and school objectives
Report any Health and Safety issues to the Facilities Manager

Skills:

Experience in commercial cleaning is preferred
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
