Purpose of the role
To provide a best-in-class, highly customer-centric technical, operations and reporting experience to their customers. You will perform within your set key performance indicators to achieve the best experience for your customers. The role is crucial forthe growth and success of the business.
Our Client is seeing significant growth across multiple areas and it is vital that we have a coordinated approach across sales and operations.
This role requires fantastic communication skills along with planning, customer focus and a person who is driven to learn more areas of the business.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sales & Operations Director, The CAD Technician will be responsible for:
- Supporting their major contracts on GPR surveying enabling drawings/reports to go out in a timely fashion and all admin is to a high standard
- Play an instrumental role in ensuring each week they are up to date on drawings which are being issued to the client
- Working to PAS128 standard (training provided)
- Reporting on a regular basis the status of jobs e.g. on time, completed, delayed, past deadline etc.
- Work closely with the surveying team to help grow the business supporting each other on major projects
- Use N4ce to process data before going into CAD
- As the business develops it will then progress more into Topographical Surveys. They will then work with you so you can help produce drawings.
- Be the gatekeeper for site data ensuring you have everything needed to produce reports
- Working closely with the other CAD technicians you will be part of a highly successful winning team as the business grows
- Work closely with the finance team and MD providing information on what jobs will be completed and when they are ready to invoice
- General administrative tasks that support your core role, report building and presenting of information
- Supporting the Operations Manager ensuring that all RAMS are completed prior to a job going out
- Looking at ways to innovate new processes and services to help keep YE ahead of the curve
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong Communication skills
- Proven experience in a similar role (at least 12 months working with AutoCAD)
- Operations focused to deliver improved performance and customer experience
- Good experience using AutoCAD
- Excellent team working
- An organised and proactive approach to tasks
- Customer Service focused
- Confident on the phone
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, Excel, and SharePoint (desirable)
- High attention to detail
- Quick learner with the ability to pick up systems quickly
- Ability to suggest/find new ways of working
Qualifications & Relationships
- AutoCAD training or qualifications
- Experience in similar roles
- Currently working in a land surveying environment
- You will work very closely with the accounts and the sales team
- Existing and new clients
- Contractors
