We currently have an opportunity for a
Legal Administrator to join the
Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department, based in our Leeds City Centre Office.
We are looking for someone to join this friendly, dedicated team who is enthusiastic, hard-working, with a high attention to detail and preferably with experience in supporting managers in a professional services environment, although past experience in a professional services environment is not a requirement.
Key Duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Responsible for:
- Compilation of and presentation of data reports
- Responsible for recording case and other data outcomes
- Private billing of cases and arranging payment of disbursements
- Overseeing disbursement payment requests
- Liaising with third parties and other firms of solicitors for general updates
- Precedent and standard letter management
- File closure and archiving
- Recording of minutes from monthly meetings
- Maintaining a highly professional, efficient, confidential and friendly manner, ensuring a quality to service clients is always achieved
- Reporting to the team managers and Head of Department.
Assisting with:
- General department projects
- Development of the department's standard operating procedures
- General admin support to wider Litigation department
- General support of solicitors/feeearning staff
- Ad hoc audio/copy typing
- Business plans and team management meetings.
Experience:
- Experience working within a busy, fast paced and professional team orientated environment, but no essential.
- Microsoft Office proficiency is essential including excel spreadsheets
- Great communication skills and an ability to work well with others
- Ability to work under time constraints and prioritise work load
- Able to handle sensitive matters discreetly
- Good organisation skills with a methodical approach
- Selfmotivated and proactive
- Deliver excellent service to clients and colleagues
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous legal experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience, and the firm offers a benefits package, as well as realistic opportunities for development and progression.
