Salary: £15,435 per annum:

  • Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
  • Location: Office based in Dorchester
  • Apprenticeship: 18 months Contract.

The role & what you take care of:
We are currently seeking an Apprentice Business Administrator.

In this role, you will have the chance to acquire valuable business acumen, administration skills, and work experience while supporting our Customer Experience and Home Services team.

The initial six months will be dedicated to working in our Stores department, where you will join a team committed to delivering a responsive, customer-focused repair and maintenance service, followed by the opportunity to broaden your knowledge across a wide range of business practices.


Key elements of your role will be:

  • Procure materials in response to jobs raised for repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance.
  • Raise and receipt purchase order for stock, specialist materials, waste & plant.
  • Assist our purchase ledger department with queries relating to invoicing.
  • Comprehensive training will be provided throughout the journey.

What you need to be successful:

  • Ability to communicate professionally with our colleagues.
  • Great computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Happy to work in a fastpaced environment and engage with all areas of the business.
  • Ensure your work is accurate and right first time.

About the Training

  • Within Magna, you will be able to develop your knowledge and understanding in a wide range of areas within housing, and we will help you develop in areas of interest.
  • Over the course of 18 months, you will study with our partner Impact Futures, covering topics such as understanding an organisation, aspects of project management, how to manage performance, planning, organisation & decisionmaking skills, quality and process improvement, and business fundamentals.
  • Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve a Level 3 certification.
