Job Purpose:


Provides accounts services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring finances, planning of payments and liaising with the client.


Duties:


  • Lead a team of 4 that have primary responsibility for transacting sales ledger and purchase ledger.
  • Purchase ledger support as necessary the team to process and match purchase invoices and credit notes for all suppliers.
  • Subcontractors support the team to process / match invoices in line with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) regulations, update statements and send.
  • Sales ledger support as necessary the team to process sales invoices and credit notes for all clients in accordance with schedules of rates.
  • Support completion of the monthly payroll run
  • Credit Control lead the credit control function working closely with our primary clients (6 Housing Associations) to ensure timely settlements of accounts.
  • Support the preparation of the Management accounts with accruals, prepayments and general reconciliations.
  • Fair FX/Equals credit card (expenses) to process receipts and reconcile the credit card account on SAGE. To top up all credit cards on a weekly basis.
  • Bank reconciliation to reconcile via SAGE our bank accounts.
  • Support the completion of monthly payroll
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports for management.
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Skills/Qualifications:


  • Reporting skills, administrative writing skills, Microsoft Office skills, managing processes, organisation, analysing information, professionalism, problem solving, supply management, inventory control and verbal communication.

Experience Required:


  • AAT Qualification preferable but will consider QBE
  • 2+ years' experience of leading a small team.

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Education:


  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

  • Team management: 2 years (preferred)
