    Support Worker

    We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Maryport, Cumbria.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Foster strong relationships with service users to encourage open expression of needs and preferences.
    • Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all individuals.
    • Assist in developing practical and social skills to promote independence.
    • Provide personal care with sensitivity and empathy, respecting individual preferences.
    • Promote self-esteem and empower decision-making through positive reinforcement.
    • Support daily tasks such as shopping, meal preparation, and household chores.
    • Encourage self-care and independent living through guidance and support.
    • Facilitate access to social and leisure activities, promoting community participation and healthy lifestyle choices.

    Requirements:

    • Demonstrable experience working with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Dementia, Mental Health, and/or additional needs.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to listen sensitively to others.
    • Good written communication skills with the ability to contribute to record-keeping systems.
    • Ability to provide emotional and practical support to service users.

    Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
