Charity Shop Volunteer

Volunteer to help Sue Ryder to be there when it matters.

About us

Our Oxted shop is looking for volunteers to join the team.

Our Sue Ryder shop in Oxted sits at the top of the High Street on the east side and is one of seven charity shops in the vicinity.

The High Street is deliciously quaint and its other occupants include a variety of small supermarkets, hairdressers and cafés.

About you

Do you have an eye for a bargain, get excited about sustainable fashion, love helping customers discover pre-loved treasures and want to join a friendly team - if so we want you.

How you'll benefit

  • Join a friendly team & make new friends
  • Gain confidence & customer service skills
  • Get valuable retail experience & enhance your CV
  • Receive discounted donated goods and travel expenses
  • Give back to your community
  • Support people through the most difficult times of their lives

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?

Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.

Why not arrange a taster session?

You can register your interest in volunteering online or directly in store. You can have a no-obligation taster session in your chosen shop.
