Description
A first degree in a relevant field (biology, astronomy/astrophysics, planetary science, Earth/geophysical sciences) or an equivalent relevant qualification.

  • Awareness of the needs of fulltime and parttime adult learners and ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to undertake research for their project.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to convey constructive feedback to students.
  • Commitment to working with diversity.
  • Organisation and administrative skills to ensure project support and feedback to students is delivered in a timely manner.
  • The ability able to work both as part of a team and independently as appropriate.
  • A willingness to engage in reflective practice.

Remuneration
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 6.

Each Project will require supervision for 10 hours and you will also be paid £30 for marking per project
