Client snapshot:
An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.
Vacancy Brief:
- The role is that of a Young Peoples Support Worker; this is a temp to perm opportunity.
- A fulltime role, it is 42 hours per week on a rolling rota, flexibility across the week is required.
- Pay Rate is £10.85 PAYE Or £13.83 Umbrella.
- Shift Pattern is 8AM 9PM.
- Perm Salary is £27, £29,916.16 per annum including disturbance allowance.
- Full UK Driver's License and access to a vehicle is preferable.
The Responsibilities:
- As a Young Peoples Support Worker, you will work with people offering supported opportunities for them to improve their quality of life, develop their skills and make decisions about their future.
- As a Young People Support Worker, you will Act as individual 'Keyworker' to a group of young people we support, taking lead responsibility within P3 (and acting as lead contact with other services) for the coordination and delivery of their support.
- In your job role as a Young People Support worker, you will Liaise with referral teams/agencies regarding vacancies and referrals.
- As a Young People Support Worker, you will Participate in the staff team's provision of individual support and needs assessment, including risk assessment, advice, emotional support, and practical assistance.
- Part of your job role as a Young People Support worker, you will need to participate in assessing and reviewing future housing and support needs, and in identifying and coordinating internal and external services and referrals in response to these.
- Furthermore, you will be tasked with providing advice and assistance to people on personal budgeting, debt management and claims for welfare benefits.
