    Job Title: Employer Liaison Tutor (ELT) - Business and Management Apprenticeships

    Department: Hertfordshire Business School

    Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, permanent contract

    Salary: UH6 £32,396 pa with potential to progress to £37,099 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience

    Location: University of Hertfordshire, De Havilland Campus, Hatfield

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    You will work with a significant portfolio of apprentices and their employer mentors, providing pastoral, compliance and administrative support throughout their apprenticeship journey.

    Your duties will include engaging with employer mentors, facilitating regular Progress Review Meetings, adopting a coaching approach to support learners towards successful End Point Assessment, and giving written and verbal feedback to apprentices on their evidence and narratives.

    You will also be responsible for collecting and reporting on data to demonstrate the development of our apprentices, working with employers to identify appropriate Off the Job training, and performing various apprenticeship administration tasks.

    Skills and Experience

    We are looking for an experienced tutor who can provide pastoral and academic support to students, as well as coaching or mentoring or delivering work-based training. You will need excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills to build good working relationships and give feedback both written and verbal.

    Prior experience in teaching, coaching or mentoring is essential, as well as proven administrative expertise and pastoral support skills. Experience working with managers and senior leaders (and their Line Managers) is desirable.

    You must be able to work proactively and autonomously, meeting deadlines and possessing practical IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office, and the ability to adopt new packages such as the University's virtual learning environment.

    A professional service-oriented approach, managing the progress of multiple cohorts of learners on their apprenticeship, influencing apprentices and mentors whilst maintaining compliance and administrative rigour are highly desirable for this role.

    Qualifications Required

    Applicants should hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification, or substantial proven work experience; a teaching or coaching qualification is desirable.
