The Port of Hull is being established as a world-class centre for renewable energy and manufacturing, and at AAK we feel proud to be part of this important industrial renaissance for Yorkshire and the UK.


At our recently upgraded site at King George Dock we operate the UK's largest refinery for edible oils and fats.

We supply businesses in the sectors of food manufacturing, baking, Foodservice and retail, and we work closely with customers to co-develop bespokeproducts.


About the role


This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a site which is going through a transition of development and growth and has a strong portfolio of productivity improvements.

AAK is on a journey filled with changes and continuous improvements across the siteand this role will be instrumental in helping drive this forward in terms of the Supply Chain department.


Main responsibilities will include:


  • To be document owner, to collate data and validate data relating to planning MOQ, stock strategy, MOQ customer, orders, lead times, agreed business and customer requirements by SKU / Production area.
  • Support the Supply Chain Management team with new processes during the implementation phase of the customer and production transfer from Belgium site to UK site
  • Support Logistics team, review, transform and improve the current process for 3PL warehouses for the Retail business
  • Lead projects to review and improve SAP projects such as accuracy of SAP SD routes master data, working with forecasts in SAP to drive the planning and call off process
  • Support the Supply Chain Management team review, transform and improve the Bulk order process from order receipt to delivery
  • Support the Customer Service and Planning team implement Contract to Cash process.
  • Lead a project to study internal transport stock movements on site and to external warehouse. Look to review transform and improve the process, reducing logistics spend in this area
  • Support Planning and Warehousing team review, transform slow moving stock process. Goal is to have all inventory < 3 months
  • Support Logistics team, review, transform and improve returnable packaging process
  • Support Logistics and Procurement team in freight tender process

About you

  • Degree qualified in a Supply Chain/ business related field
  • Broad experience and knowledge of current supply chain systems and processes in all four supply chain disciplines; customer service, logistics, planning and warehousing
  • SAP experience essential; MM, SD, PP, PI
  • Experience in demand control processes, planning strategies, forecasting, inventory management strategies
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good analytical skills detail orientated with ability to work with complex data
  • Team player with a pragmatic attitude who connects easily with all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven record of building relationships, implementing change and achieving results.
