Reed Talent Solutionsare currently working with an Ilford based NHS Trust to recruit a Project Manager (Band 8a) on an intial 3 month contract.


Role Information

  • Flexible remote working
  • 3month contract with potential to extend
  • PAYE

Pay Rate:
£215 - £242 per day

  • LTD Pay Rate (inside IR35): £262 £295 per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead on the NEL Specialist Children's Care and Support Team Project, to develop and deliver against project plans, identifying key milestones and using Improvement Methodology to track each Plan-DoStudy-Act cycle to measure improvements andto demonstrate a positive change.
  • This project will include complex multidimensional projects strands that will have wide reaching impact across the organisation.
  • Leading and coordinating input from senior managers and clinical service leads to deliver and define business improvements, taking accountability for project success.
  • Support the delivery of projects, management of changing demands, processes and maintain appropriate and comprehensive records of project progress.
  • Engage with and work within the project management systems including maintaining a progress/risk log and record relevant issues relating to projects.
  • Ensure the project is taking due consideration of relevant issues in the broader health care economy.
  • Support project teams to ensure projects are delivered to plan and on time continuously analysing and assessing the overall delivery of project aims and providing adequate and timely resolution in failures to meet project targets.
  • Be responsible for supporting projects to ensure a project structure which meets project management principles, governance requirements, including financial management and the delivery of the project work.
  • Work with project team members for the themes in developing a project plan with clear milestones and timescales of achievements towards the objectives and goals of the individual projects.
  • Engage with children, young people and families to ensure they are fully involved in the development and implementation of the key worker model
  • Provide reports to the key stakeholders both internally and externally on progress.
  • Establish and use a reporting / escalation framework which is integrated with the overall performance monitoring framework.

Essential Criteria

  • Educated to degree level or extensive relevant experience within project management
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Postgraduate qualification in relevant field or PRINCE
  • Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and managing successful projects
  • Experience of working in a PMO role
