We're on the hunt for an inspiring, business-minded creative problem solver to act as the figurehead for our Creative & Design departments across Europe.

We need someone who's self-motivated & proactive.


Someone who provides solutions, relentlessly, to problems that have been shared with them, and to problems they've proactively uncovered too.


Someone who will encourage playfulness & fuel incredible creativity, but who's also comfortable talking numbers and business with our CFO.

We want an obsession with creators and the value they can offer to brands.


While social media is likely where this person has been working previously, an understanding of other marketing channels and how they can be used to drive value for brands is crucial.

In this role


Creative Direction

  • You'll be responsible for ensuring the most compelling (and feasible) creative direction is set across all of BDBs project work in your region alongside BDBs ACDs.
  • You'll interrogate creative briefs, then define and clearly communicate what the creative team should deliver as an output on any brief, including spotting opportunities that may not be clearly mentioned.

Head of Department

  • You'll be responsible for the business performance of the creative department as well as the creative performance (profitability, team structure, future planning, P&L of sorts)
  • You'll be expected to have a deep commercial understanding of every idea being proposed in your region (be it; the cost of the time to develop the idea and production, the value to the brand beyond the brief, the reason that it will succeed, etc)
  • You'll understand the state of your market and continually identify future opportunity areas for the BDB creative dept to grow into.

Leadership and Mentorship

  • You'll be expected to define the environment needed for creative success on a creative project (information needed in the brief, timings, process, output, etc)
  • You'll be confident in managing and coaching every level of creative personnel on a day to day basis, discussing and guiding career progression, objective setting, and where necessary having difficult conversations situations to improve performance.
  • You'll display a broad knowledge of creative techniques, processes, responses and styles outside of your own personal preference, that you'll use to guide and develop a variety of different types of creative thinkers in the team.
  • You'll proactively consider and implement new initiatives and new offerings that would help to evolve BDB as a company, supporting the Global Creative Director to define the vision for Creative at BDB.
  • You'll advocate for creativity and creative effectiveness, establishing yourself as a clear voice of authority for creatorpowered creativity, within our agency and within the wider industry too.

Client Relations

  • You'll be expected to form and maintain client relationships at a senior level, representing BDBs current creative work but also helping the client with future opportunities for creativity with BDB.
**A Few Key Requirements

  • Experience leading and running a department (within a brand or agency relevant to BDBs line of work)
  • A diversity of previous work experiences
  • An optimistic view of what's possible, in general
  • Ability and desire to inspire others (with presentations as well as in everyday interactions)
  • Experience of productive client relationships at a senior level
  • Exceptional ability in working collaboratively with other departments (Strategy, Production and Client Services)
  • A willingness to sometimes develop creative work in the absence of a proven process.
