About the role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Yard Assistant to join our team in our Kinmel Bay branch.

The role is part-time 30+ hours, with a usual work schedule from Wednesday to Friday (7:30 am - 5:00 pm) and Saturday mornings (8:00 am - 12:00 pm).

• Order picking, loading of delivery vehicles or customers' cars
• Operating a forklift to load and unload vehicles
• Assisting customers with their purchases and answering their questions
• Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed
• Maintaining stock control and ensuring the yard and warehouse are kept clean and organized
• Performing other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
• Physically fit as heavy lifting is required for this role
• Previous experience operating a forklift would be advantageous
• Familiarity with the building industry and materials would be beneficial
