Your New Role:


We have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Skills Trainer - Relationship & Engagement to join Amey on a permanent basis.

This role is remote (UK Based) but with travel as required across the UK for the delivery of engaging Training Sessions and Workshops, 'IT on Tour' Roadshows and Site Visits.


This role is a core part of Amey's #BeDigital Foundation, by going out to our employees across the UK and ensuring they are using fully utilising the IT available to them, identifying training needs and areas for improvement.


The standard hours of work are 37.5 a week. Monday - Friday.


Working as part of a small team with the Digital Skills Training Team, the Digital Skills Trainer contributes to the development of all Amey staff, with different technical use cases.


Whilst building and delivering training programmes (In Person and Virtually), provide Individual Support, Create and Update Content and Guides for current and future Tech initiatives and rollouts across Amey.


You will have a passion for learning and a great knowledge of the Technology industry with a focus on The Essential Digital Skills Framework and understanding the workplace skills gap, demonstrating the impact of reskilling and upskilling.


You will be responsible for:


  • Delivering the required IT training either directly face to face or through virtual sessions to a range of different user groups, vital for the growth of all Amey employees.
  • Working with the Digital Skills Team, understanding the end user and business needs and requirements through research and initial conversations to identify and align training content with business goals with the mission to elevate everyone's Digital Skills, to where we need them to be.
  • Coordinate IT Activities relevant to the requirements of the user group and provide Awareness Training, ensuring compliance and showcasing all that can be achieved with Technology.
  • Building, Developing and growing any business relationships vital to the success of Technology and Digital Skills Training.
  • Upholding the Security and IT Policy.
  • Updating the Training Calendar, writing a recap and logs attendees.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in Creating, Updating and Collaborating on Training Sessions.
  • Confidence in delivering Training Sessions (1:1's and Groups) (In-Person and Virtual), (Travel)
  • A strong ability to communicate to users of different skill levels.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a highpressured environment.
  • A hunger to Learn, enthusiastic to teach and provide followup support.
  • A People First Approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a range of Devices and Applications, (Windows/Mac/iOS/Android, Security, Accessibility Features)
  • Knowledge of: Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps), SAP.
  • Experience in a Customer Service / IT Environment or Similar Role.
