Based at our newly located site in Trafford Park, Manchester, we are a commercial kitchen that supplies restaurants within the Individual Restaurant Group such as Piccolino.
This is a great opportunity for three Hygiene Operatives to join our brand-new, modern site with £6m worth of investment in facilities and equipment.
Role Details
Roles:
Hygiene Operative
Rate of pay:
£11.07 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm
Contract:
Permanent
- To ensure that the corridors and all adjoining areas including canteen, changing rooms and toilets etc are free from debris, clean and tidy at all times
- To ensure that all changing areas are cleaned with the appropriate cleaning materials and maintained in a safe condition
- To ensure that the production areas are cleaned with the appropriate cleaning materials and maintained in a safe condition
- To ensure the correct wear of PPE, work wear (including footwear) whilst ensuring segregation of areas are maintained at all times in line with Company procedure
- To collect used workwear and prepare ready for collection from service provider and sort and issue as appropriate all clean workwear received from service provider
- To perform tasks as instructed through various training methods including onthejob and from external providers
- To dispose of all waste as appropriate in line with applicable procedure (Environmental and Health & Safety Regulations) and endeavour to control this to a minimum
- To maintain a working knowledge of allergen awareness to ensure no compromise to product
- To ensure that all tasks undertaken comply with food safety regulations as stated within the relevant food safety & hygiene procedures
- To provide cover in the event of absence for other Hygiene team members and support Production when required
- To carry out micro swabbing where required in line with the set schedule
- To ensure office areas are clean and tidy during the shift
- To ensure Company procedures are adhered to in respect of Environmental Regs and the Health and Safety of yourself and others
- To maintain confidentiality and ensure site security is achieved for environmental, employee and food safety purposes
- To maintain a high standard of housekeeping in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- To ensure all hygiene equipment is cleaned and stored correctly
Your skills and experience:
- Knowledge of food manufacturing and hygiene
- Effective communicator
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and work through own initiative
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously
- Good understanding of cleaning practices and disposal
