The Role
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the safe and effective management of shutdown and turnaround deliverables.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that all planned Turnaround and planned shutdown activities are coordinated and managed in accordance with company expectations.
- Ensure that all shutdown activity work packs and activity plans include specified process safety management (PSM) guidelines, appropriate Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Risk Assessments, Flange Management packs and precautionary measures and are compliant with the company permit to work system and procedure in order to minimize risk to personnel, the environment and company assets.
- Provide management with weekly/daily planning reports on a timely basis including reported statistical information regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the turnaround/shutdown activity streams in terms of resources, materials & equipment requirements etc. using comprehensive shutdown plans.
- Ensure direct interfacing takes place on a timely basis for the duration of the turnaround/shutdown with the operations production & maintenance department in a collaborative manner providing documented daily activity reports in compliance with any mandatory operating standards and company requirements.
- Ensure that agreed department resource planning is achieved against the agreed manpower plan.
- Provide collaborative support to contractor process facilities engineering groups where applicable.
- Ensure adequate interfacing within the operations maintenance department and functional support groups as outlined in the project turnaround/shutdown action plans.
