DC48- Application Support Engineer

Location - St Asaph, Denbighshire

Salary - £20,000 to £25,000 DOE

Overview:


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Use Jira to log and progress support tickets.
  • Investigate and resolve 1st and 2nd line support issues.
  • Ensure that support incidents are handled within SLA.
  • Escalate issues to the Support Supervisor as necessary.
  • Participate in the out of hours on call rota.
  • Provide assistance and advice to other members of the support team.
  • Maintain and update existing support documentation and create new documentation as required.

Skills and Experience:


Essential:

  • Previous support desk experience.
  • Good customer facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of writing SQL queries for Oracle/MSSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS and basic commands.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Bash.
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint.
  • Project Management.
