Here at Serco, we are seeking a Business Support Lead to provide comprehensive executive and business administrative support to the Chief Services Officer of Serco United Kingdom & Europe (UK&E); The role will also support the Senior Leadership Team of the Data, Digital & Technology Team.


This role requires an individual with strong organisation sills, initiative to improve administrative processes, structured and proactive forward thinking, and sound commercial judgment, with the ability to work independently.

Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups is a must.


As part of this you'll:

Show excellent organisation skills, including extensive diary and meeting management (including planning and preparation), using Outlook and Teams and working in multiple time zones with appropriate sensitivity
Prioritising conflicting needs effectively and handles matters expeditiously, diplomatically, and proactively
Responsible for exercising appropriate levels of confidentiality and discretion in disseminating information and answering queries, is tactful and discreet in dealing with matters of a sensitive nature
Point of contact for Chief Services Officer internally and externally
Act at all times as a representative of the office of the Chief Services Officer
Ability to use graphics and video creating technology/tools is highly desirable.
Scheduling Monthly and Quarterly Performance Review meetings for the year
Liaise with Serco colleagues for the preparation of Monthly performance review reports, project documentation and correspondence
Ensure all on-boarding requirements (including induction meetings) for new starters within the leadership team are fulfilled and completed on time
Co-ordinate and plan offsite Team events within budget
Maintain Executive and Team compliance with company policies and procedures
Organise domestic and international travel/accommodation bookings according to policy via Concur; Monthly expenses reconciliation using Concur
Co-ordinate small projects as required
Process outgoing purchase orders and incoming invoices via SAP Guided Buying

What you'll need to do the role:
Extensive demonstratable executive management support assistance in a similar role
(5 plus years)
Experience in a Technology, Engineering team environment is highly desirable.
High level written and oral communication skills
Ability to draft documentation at professional standards is essential
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage people
Independent and self-driven
A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to use a Graphics or video creating software is highly desirable
Understanding of finance management
Working knowledge of SAP, Concur (for travel and expenses) is desirable
Degree level qualification is desirable.
