As a Barclays Governance and Controls Manager - BCBS239 you will be involved in the monitoring of the Climate Risk Transaction Cycle (TECC) 2nd Line of Defense Data Domains adherence to the Banks policies and standards, the production of compliance metrics,Data Domain issue management and the Accuracy, Completeness and Timeliness of relevant Domain data, so maintaining Full Compliance.

You will manage the Data Governance Forums for relevant TECC Data Domains.

Working Flexibly

What will you be doing?:


  • Assisting in the setting up, and onward coordination of the TECC Data Domain BAU forums integral to onward Full Compliance
  • Coordinating review and approval of inputs for group level governance, to include Limitations Dashboards and Metric reporting, for TECC data domains
  • Assisting the TECC Data Domains with their interaction with Internal Audit, Conformance, Independent Testing team and the Compliance Monitoring Forums
  • Providing evidence of compliance where relevant, on request form the above forums and teams
  • Working with stakeholders to develop and implement innovative, strategic solutions to address Data Governance and Barclays Control Framework
  • Advising on the implementation of new key processes and controls
  • You will have the Line Manager responsibility for 2 Data Support Analysts

What we're looking for:


  • A graduate in a numerical discipline or comparable work experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills essential
  • Prior experience working in a financial institution
  • Experience of working in a risk, control, governance, or assurance function

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of the TECC Data Domain functions
  • A Highlevel knowledge of the aims of BCBS239 preferred
